Female and male seedlings of Cannabis sativa are morphologically indistinguishable. Each Cotyledon and leaf explants from seedlings of C. sativa was explanted separately on B5 medium supplemented with different combinations of 2,4-D and Kinetin. Cotyledon and leaf explants from female and male showed significant difference in amount of callus produced on identical medium, within four weeks of inoculation.
